CRPHI Receives Grant from Mayo Clinic Health System to Support Agricultural Mental Health Campaign!

The Collaborative for Rural Public Health Innovation (CRPHI) is excited to announce that we have received a generous $7,500 grant from the Mayo Clinic Health System's Community Giving Program. This support will directly fuel our efforts to promote the CRPHI‑developed Agricultural Mental Health Campaign; an initiative focused on strengthening mental well‑being across farming communities.

Farmers and those who support them face a unique set of challenges every day. Markets can shift overnight, weather remains unpredictable, and equipment can break down without warning. These stressors, when they pile up season after season, can take a toll on mental health. What begins as a hard day can slowly develop into a hard year.

Our Agricultural Mental Health campaign was created in response to this reality. Its message is simple yet powerful: tough seasons are easier when we face them together. By raising awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations, the campaign reminds farmers, family members, and agricultural professionals that reaching out and talking about stress truly can make a difference.

This grant from the Mayo Clinic Health System strengthens our ability to share this message widely across rural communities. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to supporting mental health and well‑being in the agricultural sector.

Together, we can continue building a culture where asking for help is seen as a sign of strength and where no one faces a tough season alone.

The full campaign will be rolling out over the next few months across our 27-county area and resources will be made available on our website for others to utilize if interested.
