CRPHI presents work at Minnesota Partners in Public Health Conference!

Last week public health leaders from across Minnesota gathered for the annual Minnesota Partners in Public Health Conference sponsored by the Local Public Health Association and Minnesota Department of Health. CRPHI was excited to be selected to present at two different breakout sessions highlighting outcomes from the first year of the partnership!

On Wednesday, Chera Sevcik, Vlada Gladis and Lisa Putrah presented about the Power of Public Health campaign. They shared about the inception of CRPHI, the development of regional committees and the internship program that led to the development of the Power of Public Health campaign and the powerofpublichealthmn.com website. Throughout the session, the team shared their process of developing core public health messages using communications best practices and how they've used this campaign to engage with, and create inclusive messaging tailored to rural communities.

On Thursday, Vlada Gladis, Lisa Putrah and Liz Radel Freeman presented information about how the collaboration with CRPHI is working in partnership to increase capacity for rural health departments to meet foundational public health responsibilities and improve student learning and preparation for jobs after graduation. Their presentation specifically highlighted outcomes from the Communications and Assessment and Surveillance workgroups.
