CRPHI is recruiting highly motivated students pursuing a degree within the Department of Applied Health Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato to assist local health departments with communications, data and assessment and community engagement work. This internship will provide hands-on experience working in the public health field, contribute to ongoing projects, and help with the dissemination of health information to diverse audiences. This internship provides valuable exposure to public health strategies, community outreach, and the use of data to inform decision-making and policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Health Communications: Assist in the development and dissemination of health-related content, including articles, newsletters, social media content and educational materials.

• Health Education: Support the creation and delivery of educational programs, workshops, webinars aimed at improving community health knowledge. Assist in materials preparation and participant engagement efforts.

• Data Management & Analysis: Assist in developing, collecting, analyzing and interpreting health-related data from surveys, key informants and other sources. Help prepare reports and presentations based on data findings.

• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the public health workgroups by taking and sharing meeting minutes.

• Research: Identify and research different ways to engage populations and learn more about where people collect their news through social media and within their communities.

• Support: Continually collaborate with CRPHI workgroups to identify and execute new initiatives.
